(Too cool for a seven month sticker)
Dearest Mae,
Although this blog is a week or so overdue I was determined to write it. We have just been having so much fun on my Spring break home from work it was hard to find time to sit down and write this. But, we can't skip a month so here we go!
During your 7 month photo shoot (a day late because you weren't having it on your actual 7 month birthday) you decided it was time to stop wearing the sticker and start eating it.
You have a love of paper- gift wrapping, paper books,
stickers- you'll take them all!
Not only does the crinkling sound amuse you,
but you seem to love to eat it.
After a thorough inspection you let Mommy take it away.
No eating paper for you little princess.
It's crazy how quickly you have sprouted up and can not sit in your chair by yourself. No longer are the days of you hunched to the sit. You can full on sit up on your own. But, you love to lunge forward so especially in your chair we have to keep a close eye on you.
You have still proven to be the happiest little baby we have ever met. Not to brag, (but I just have to) everyone we meet when we are out just adores you. You love giving them your big, cheeky grin!
This month we celebrated your first St. Patrick's Day. We stayed away from crazy parades and got to see Grandma Regan during the day. She shared her clip in hair with you. Of course you tried to eat it. Silly girl!
You were feeling the come over look during lunch!
You had your first trip in a shopping cart this month. You were a pro and now regularly grace us with your presence when we food shop. Your always content the hour we mozy through the store grabbing some groceries. We still have to prop some food boxes beside you to keep you upright though. Sitting up an hour can be hard work!
We practiced trying on your sunnies for the pool and
beach this summer. You were feeling them!
beach this summer. You were feeling them!
Dad didn't torture you with any headbands this month,
but I certainly tried a few times.
but I certainly tried a few times.
You were pretty distracted grabbing your feet when I put it on. Your becoming so much more aware of your body now little peanut. You grab items with ease and move them from one hand to the other. Your so funny when you sometimes grab something and fling it away from you by accident because your trying to move it.
You have been sitting up more regularly, either with someone sitting behind you or your Boppy. You can sit up without support, but you lunge forward and eventually roll over if your sitting on your own.
The office has transformed in quite the playroom little lady! Grandma Regan and I went to the sale at Brookdale and got you so many more toys! You love them all, especially the musical flowers and light changing paint brush.
We got you a new seat to enjoy since your old one that the Sambers let us borrow was too small for you. You easily grab for the musical butterfly and let Dad and I quickly make your breakfast while you nosh on your toys in the morning.
We had to retire the Bumbo this month. Your legs were getting too big for it and you would get stuck when we would pull you out.
You enjoyed your last time in it though,
as you were very interested in your feet.
as you were very interested in your feet.
Maybe you'll be a gymnast?
Or a dancer?
Or maybe not. Hehe.
Don't let the last photo fool you. You are
always smiling 99.99 % of the time!
always smiling 99.99 % of the time!
This month you got to experience so much new food!
Your definitely a bigger fan of fruit (or just banana, all day every day). But, you like your zucchini and squash mixed with some cereal to thicken it up.
You have gotten so good are feeding yourself in just one month. Sometimes your happy letting Dad and I feed you, and sometimes you grab the spoon with your left hand and spoon it into your mouth.
You love eating organic waffles.
You have been sucking off some bigger chucks though,
so we try to keep it safe and put it into the mesh bag to eat.
Your a huge fan of drinking from your sippy cup, anything with banana, and yogurt. We started you out with banana yogurt, but now mash up fresh bananas and put it into plain yogurt. Much healthier!
Sometimes the aftermath of a dinner is messy! Especially sweet potatoes and zucchini.
But, we go straight into the bath where you get nice and clean.
Your certainly not a fan of me wiping down your face though. But, all of your toys keeps you pretty preoccupied. Your so cute as you now decide what toys to play with. You lean over and grab some of your favorites every night. You love your heart rattle, your nesting cups to chew on, and the light up bongo drums.
This month you had your first bubble bath. You were mesmerized by the bubbles. We need to give you more bubble baths soon!
This month you said your first word! Well, kind of. You started talking more and making more sounds and when your slightly upset (putting pjs on at night) you murmur mama. I'm sure you don't know what it means, but hey, it's still very cute!
I am counting down the time until it is summer and I can see your smiling face all week long. Lets hope it flies by. I love being with your smiling face every second of the day!
Love you to the moon and back!
Love,
Mom
