Mom just couldn't wait till my 6 month birthday to give me some food. So two days before she ran to the food store and bought me some bananas. She was all about this hippie Baby Led Weaning thing, and gave me my banana in a mesh feeder bag.
I was into it the first day because the bananas were so yummy. I hadn't had anything besides milk, my vitamins, and gripe water in 6 months! Minus the one time mom got crazy and put icing on my finger and then mash potatoes.
I am getting so good with my hands I was even able to hold the bag myself!
The next night mom left the peel on half of the banana and let me try to pick it up. I gummed it and was able to suck off some chunks of banana. It was such a new feeling! Mom said I made some crazy faces as I tried the new food.
Then, the next night out of no where Mom put this thing called a spoon into my mouth. She decided she wanted to mash up the bananas and feed it to me. I still am getting the hang out it, but it was good!
I was able to pick up my sippy cup on the first try. But, this whole getting water out of it is kind of hard. But, I will get there!
I wasn't really feeling the bib, so Mom took it off and let me get messy. I am having lots of fun enjoying new foods. Mom and Dad said they are going to make it all fresh for me. I feel so special!
Mom said this next week I am going to try peaches, apples, and sweet potatoes! Yay!
